A blob tracking camera effect

The blob tracking look made popular in TouchDesigner, with nothing to install or wire up. Blob tracker finds the bright, high-contrast shapes in your camera and follows each one with a box, a label, an outline and flickering lines between them.

How it works

  1. It finds the contrast

    Threshold sets how bright a shape has to be to count. Each one keeps its number for as long as it is in view.

  2. Four layers

    Bounds, labels, traces and connections switch on and off on their own, each with its own colour and size.

  3. Swap the background

    Replace the room with a colour or a picture of your own, and only the tracked shapes keep the camera.
